Humans and dogs respond very differently to drugs, so this is why veterinarians remind dog owners not to make decisions alone. However, as long as certain human drugs are used appropriately, they can be safely used in dogs. Most important, you should always consult a veterinarian before giving your dog medication.

Adopt a Dog

Hello ! This Is Lionel!

Meet Lionel! This good boy is approximately 3 years old. Lionel is good with dogs, walking on a leash, snuggling, sharing the remote, hogging the covers and is fully crate and house trained. Unfortunately, this guy was surrendered back to us after 6 months and lots of training, but he could not adjust to living with a baby and toddler. Older children recommended. If you are interested in meeting one of our pups please fill out an application on our website https://petsstophererescue.com/. After the reference check is completed we will be contacting you to schedule a meet and greet. Our adoption process is as followed: application, reference check, landlord approval (if needed), meet and greet, home inspection and home trial run (aka sleepover). Please note we are a volunteer based rescue and work timelessly to ensure all our dogs find the best homes possible. Our Petfinder page is updated regularly, if we receive multiple applications for a pup we will review ALL of them and pursue the best fit. Adoption fees range from $250-$400. Our dogs come fully vetted. Any questions please contact Kaylee at kglidden312@gmail.com. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *PSA: We ONLY adopt to residents of Rochester, NY and surrounding areas. Out of state / country applications will be discarded (including Canada) due to different breed restrictions. Thank you for understanding and we apologize for any inconvenience's.*
