Dogs are a source of joy for many dog owners. But if one day your furry friends are not as lively or energetic as usual, you need to pay attention, especially when they are reaching an older age. It's important for a dog parent to notice the signs of some dog common conditions and bring the pups to the vet immediately. Some illnesses can be treated effectively if pet owners recognize the symptoms early.

Adopt a Dog

Hello ! This Is Redford!

Meet Redford! Redford came to us after being a stray who roamed around town for a few days. He is a sweet, sweet boy who is looking for an active person to spend his days with. Redford is around 18 months old. He's right around 50 pounds, so he's a great size. He is definitely a higher energy guy who would love to be outdoors on adventures with his family. He does well on a leash, but like many dogs who come through our program, would do well with some basic obedience training. He just can't help himself...he gets so excited when he sees people he wants to jump up and say hi! Redford has many great qualities. He's highly intelligent, is a quick learner, and is food/treat driven, so training should come easily. His one negative characteristic is that he needs to be an only dog. Perhaps with time and training will help, but right now we will only be adopting him into a home without other dogs. He will be an amazing companion for that family, but unfortunately he will likely not ever be a dog park dog or one that you'll take to work with you in an office setting. We hope that we can find his forever family soon. This sweet guy has already been with us since April and it's high time he finds his happily ever after! Redford's adoption fee is $450 which includes his neuter, current vaccinations, negative heartworm test, registered microchip, and transport costs. He is available through Project Freedom Ride. He would be transported on one of the PFR transports to either Meridian ID, SLC, UT, Seattle, WA, Mt Vernon, WA, Kennewick, WA, Portland, OR, Newburgh/Albany/Syracuse, NY or Bedminster, NJ. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out our application and we will get back to you within 24 hours regarding the potential of a video call. As a Project Freedom Ride direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet would take place on video call (FB Messenger Call, Whats App, or Google Duo). The adoption application and fee would be finalized prior to transport.
