Winner of best ears goes to..Sandy (aka Sandra)
What's your guess for a breed? Her fosters say maybe corgi/poodle/terrier mix but that isn't important, what is important is that Sandy is the sweetest girl. She is a year and a half old and a wonderfully sized compact 19Lbs.
Sandy is even tempered, curious about her surroundings, and able to be independent. She has quickly settled into the joys of family life. She loves to play, wrestle, and rest with both humans and the other two dogs (15-20lb males) in her foster home. Then, she'll crawl up on a welcoming lap for some snuggles and pets.
She still has a bit of a puppyish mindset, many things are so new to here. Continued exposure to the sites and sounds of life will benefit her. She will respond to her name, comes when called, and reacts appropriately with positive encouragement and gentle discouragement. She is making good progress on her house training.
She's also so darn cute she will melt your heart every time you look at her and her fabulous ears.
She has proven to be kid-friendly with the older respectful kids in her foster home. She would make a great companion or all around family dog. While she isn't going to win any marathons, she would be a willing and loyal hiking and walking partner. A joyful family addition.
