Hello ! This is Me !

Harriett has recently been diagnosed with Patent Ductus Arteriosus and Aortic Stenosis. Her heart is very large and you can feel her heart beating hard. She may not have much time left, but she'd love someone to love her for who she is for however long she has left. She is not in any medications and surgery is not a viable option for this sweet lady. ______________________ Harriet is a beautiful dog who is about 4 years old and weighs about 24 lbs. She has long legs and shiny short fur. She certainly sea to have some traits of the basenji. Harriet is amazing with all sized dogs, however because she is food aggressive and possessive of her human, she would be best as an only dog. She walks amazingly on leash and knows some of her basic commands. She is very obedient, loving and affectionate. Harriet has to work on her confidence and cannot be in a home that will allow her to latch on to her human. She needs to learn to develop her own independence and confidence, because she becomes possessive of her human. She should also be in an adult only home with a single person. She was transferred to Dhana Metta because she has some possession issues. Mainly food possession and aggression towards other dogs and humans. She is looking for a foster or forever home that will continue to hand feed her, and make her work for her food, making sure that she is given lots of praise. She can also become possessive of her human, and that's why she cannot be in a home that will coddle her or feed her insecurities.. Other than those issues, she is a beautiful and amazing dog! She is so obedient and well behaved.
