**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.
Yogi is a 3-month-old Aussiedoodle (Australian Shepherd/Standard Poodle mix) up-for-adoption through Homeward Bound Dog Rescue. Foster mom wants to call him “Will” because of all the WILLPOWER it’s taking now to foster fail on this one!! (Not kidding!!???)
He is a LARGE BREED puppy and the new home should have a BIG, fenced yard in a suburban or rural location. This dog could easily be 60-70lbs full grown. Both Aussies and Standard Poodles can be energetic so the family is going to have to have a plan for draining his energy each day. Also, they’re both wicked smart breeds so the new owners of Yogi will need to commit to attending several rounds of training classes. Before even applying for Yogi, be sure to look into the cost of grooming a large breed Doodle every 6-8 weeks (can be over $100 each visit!).
Yogi is crate-trained, doing well with housebreaking, great with kids, great with dogs, and good on a leash for his age.
There’s going to be a lot of interest in this handsome dude so get those apps in ASAP!

We are presently not holding our regular Saturday adoption clinics due to the Covid-19 virus. We are operating on a limited basis until further notice, but we are still adopting dogs out. We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $350. Dogs over 2 years old are $250. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
