12/25/23: Foster to adopt homes needed!
We hope everyone is having the happiest of holidays, surrounded by loved ones and furry friends. With things winding down now, we would like to introduce some of our newest arrivals that will be ready to go to foster to adopt homes later this week!
Applications are now open for our Peanuts litter of puppies! These 7 babies are Chihuahua mixes, 3 boys and 4 girls that are turning 8 weeks old this week! Momma was a 12# white Chihuahua that the owners kept and we will help them get her spayed, we are wondering if dad may be a Pomeranian due to some of the pups being a bit fluffy, having small pointy ears and curly tails. We believe the pups will be 10-15# full grown and all are super sweet, very bouncy and resemble little polar bear cubs. Due to their breed mix, they will likely be more playful, active pups rather total lap dogs so homes with small, active pets would likely be a great match for them!
Everyone meet Lucy, Linus, Marcie, Snoopy, Peppermint Patty, Sally and Woodstock, our Peanuts Gang!
We will be reviewing applications the next few days and would like to set up meet and greets toward the end of this week.
Due to their current age, size and energy levels, foster to adopt requirements are:
Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY so follow up veterianary visits can made until they are spay/neutered and ready to be adopted.
Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered.
Since they are puppies, they should be ok with both cats and small dogs (under 30#) in the home.
Due to their current size and disposition, we are looking for homes with children over 10 years old.
Willing to have current dogs/family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match.
Having time available to care for, socialize and start training of a new pet.
Preference will be given to homes with previous dog experience.
An adoption donation of $475 is being asked when their adoption is finalized in 4-6 weeks after they are spay/neutered to cover a portion of her veterinary and care fees.
Please help us to continue helping those that knock on our doors!
