He loves kids, other dogs, and cats too. He is playful and energetic, and loves all people of all ages. He is also super smart and a fast learner. Adopt a dog:Carleigh/Poodle/Female/Young,This beautiful girl is nearly 6 months old and currently weighs about 45 pounds- and we think she will be around 60-70lbs when she is an adult. Her mom is a Standard Poodle and her dad a Great Pyrenees. She and her sister were originally purchased to guard the chickens, but they were more interested in chasing them than guarding them, so the owner decided to hand them over to Rescue. They are almost identical twins, Carleigh and Harleigh. They have the same sweet temperament though we would say that Carleigh is a bit more outgoing. They both have very calm, affectionate demeanors and behaved perfectly while they were bathed. They had a HUGE time running and playing in the mud puddles the day after their bath, and did really well with the new dogs they met! These girls are gems! We have not tested them with cats. They are fine with kids and other dogs and are working on leash training and basic commands Photos don't do justice to their soft beautiful curly bright white coats!! Stunning and sweet as they can be!! We would love to find her a family who this pretty girl could hang out with and go on adventures with. Carleigh's perfect home would have other dog(s) who she could play with and a fenced yard. She would be a great dog for someone who works from home - she would love chilling with you in your office and just being by your side. She has been dewormed, will be microchipped and is up to date on her vaccinations. She must be spayed when she is between 6-12 months - you can have that done at one of our Houston vets at no additional cost or if done by your vet, we will give you a rebate of $100. She's being fostered in Fulshear TX but we can have her brought to NY on rescue transport which brings dogs up once a month. She had to stay behind last transport due to her puppies being too young to travel, but they made age and size for this trip and arrived last night. Emmy is shy and will need some time to learn to trust, but we don't see any aggressive tendencies in her (or Sugar or Sweetie). Though they came from a tough situation and were severely overcrowded, most taken from the home have rallied once in foster and are some of the sweetest, gentlest dogs. There are 2 girls and one boy pup who we are calling Evangeline, Eliana and Elijah. Due to her current age, size and personality, foster to adopt requirements are: -Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY so they can get their continued care at our vet until they are officially adopted. -Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered. -Due to her current size and disposition, we are looking for homes with children over 10 years old. -Willing to have current dogs/family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match. -Having time available to care for, socialize and start training of a new pet. -Preference will be given to homes with previous dog experience. -Having a fenced yard is definitely a plus.
