Adopt a dog:Eliana/Terrier/Female/Baby,11/16/23: Momma Emmy was from the hoarding case of 31 dogs that we pulled Sugar and Sweetie from. She had to stay behind last transport due to her puppies being too young to travel, but they made age and size for this trip and arrived last night. Emmy is shy and will need some time to learn to trust, but we don't see any aggressive tendencies in her (or Sugar or Sweetie). Though they came from a tough situation and were severely overcrowded, most taken from the home have rallied once in foster and are some of the sweetest, gentlest dogs. There are 2 girls and one boy pup who we are calling Evangeline, Eliana and Elijah. Due to her current age, size and personality, foster to adopt requirements are: -Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY so they can get their continued care at our vet until they are officially adopted. -Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered. -Due to her current size and disposition, we are looking for homes with children over 10 years old. -Willing to have current dogs/family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match. -Having time available to care for, socialize and start training of a new pet. -Preference will be given to homes with previous dog experience. -Having a fenced yard is definitely a plus. Oh do we have the puppy cuteness overload going on here!! This adorable lil boy has got all the boxes checked!!! Affectionate - check Sweet - check Huggable and Kissable - double that check Playful - check Cute as a button - oh for sure that's a check Pawsome family members - yep, that's a check The family - no check :( ...yet! Lil Calvin was rescued from a rural shelter close to the Mexico/Texas border. He had managed to misplace his pawsport and found himself being detained. Luckily we managed to get him out on good behavior and for his handsome good looks!! CalvinKlein is 4 months old and can be a tad shy upon first meet. But as with your typical puppy it only takes him a NY second (not even the whole minute) to warm up and show his true silly personality. A little bit sassy, a little bit sweet and a whole lot of cuddly. He should be about 20-25ish lbs when he gets fully grown up. What a great size for well...everything. Big enough for any activities and adventures you might want to go on but small enough to make sure there is lots of room on the couch for you. He wants to make sure he doesn't miss out on ANY of his cuddle time! He does great with people and the other foster pups here at the rescue. He would be beside himself if he was to get a family with a playful sibling (2 or 4 legged variety) that he could have a blast in the yard anytime or all the time!! At his young age, even tho he hasn't met a cat yet, if introduced properly he should do great with them too. He is a smart little fella that is already on his way to learning basic commands. He will sit and sit pretty and is doing well with his leash training also. He is like an old soul in a puppy body, playful and active but not over the top hyper. He's just a super sweet natured pup that loves to please his people! Calvin will need exercise and playtime to help keep his puppy shenanigans at a minimal but with that in he should do great in town, out in the country or anywhere in between. Calvin's shorter coat is low maintenance in the grooming department making him more of a wash-n-go type of fella. Which is perfect cuz you do know what that means don't you?! Yep, lots of extra time for the 'spoil him rotten' department. That's his favoritest time, you and him time!! Sweet and sassy, playful and snuggly, add in that cutest lil face and you've got a fabulous family member just waiting to happen! He just needs YOU to help him get that last box checked!!!

Our rescue stepped in and found a wonderful foster for these 4 puppies. These days many vets recommend performing neuter/spay surgery later on in the dog's life. Since Mocha is still very young, our rescue has decided to allow adoption without neutering. If you are interested in Mocha, you absolutely must agree on neutering Mocha at the older age recommended by your vet. There will be a signed agreement to do so. Mocha is very young so he does have a lot of energy. He loves playing and romping with his siblings. He also lives with older, larger dogs and does well. Mocha also loves cats and tries to be friends with everyone (the cats may not like him too much though). Kids, adults, dogs, cats, etc.- Mocha is fantastic. Being young, he will require extra attention and care from his new forever family! The employees at the factory took the puppies to a city shelter, but they lacked the space and experience to take care of such young puppies. Our rescue stepped in and found a wonderful foster for these 4 puppies. These days many vets recommend performing neuter/spay surgery later on in the dog's life. Since Mocha is still very young, our rescue has decided to allow adoption without neutering. If you are interested in Mocha, you absolutely must agree on neutering Mocha at the older age recommended by your vet. There will be a signed agreement to do so. Mocha is very young so he does have a lot of energy. He loves playing and romping with his siblings. He also lives with older, larger dogs and does well. Mocha also loves cats and tries to be friends with everyone (the cats may not like him too much though). Kids, adults, dogs, cats, etc.- Mocha is fantastic. Being young, he will require extra attention and care from his new forever family! We do not recommend dogs to be left alone for over 3 hours and strongly recommend that all of our adopters look into a doggy daycare if they will be away for more than 3 hours. Please keep in mind that we are unable to consider applicants that are not within a 45 minute driving distance from Springfield, Virginia at this time. Adoption fee $675. *Mocha is currently at a foster home in Korea. We transport our dogs after an adopter has been secured, so unfortunately, we do not provide meet and greets. Instead, we do our best to provide as much description, pictures and videos as possible. *** We typically do not adopt to homes with children under 8 years old. A home check is mandatory before adoption. We adopt to residents of Northern VA and Washington DC suburbs only. Applicants must be at least 25 years old. Prior to rescue, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization and it takes time for them to learn about life as a family pet. Common skills such as house training and leash walking may often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must.
