Ireland is a 4 year old, 115 pound Saint Bernard. She came in to rescue with three of her sisters and they had been breeder dogs. On arrival, this poor girl had such pronounced and pervasive eye infections that she had to have both eyes removed. She also had plastic surgery to remove the insane wrinkling she had, Several months later and she is healthy and happy and ready to go.
Ireland may be blind, but she is sweet, and wonderful and lovely. She has a very gentle disposition and she is great with everything from very big dogs to the tiniest puppy (see pic of puppy snuffling which she excels at). She has excellent manners and she is a calm, easygoing girl.
Ireland is good with people over the age of 8 and all dogs. She'd be fine with younger kids but given her blindness, I think 8 and up is best for her. I hate to say she's not good with cats, but we don't think she would be. She is housebroken and perfect and her vision issues don't stop her from living her best life.
Ireland needs a home with a fenced yard and not a lot of stairs. She learns the lay of the land very quickly and she loves her walks in the neighborhood. She is a rock star and everyone loves her.
