Name: Frilly Best Guess for Breed: Chihuahua/Terrier mix Best Guess for Age: born 3/30/2023 SEX: female Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!): 2 pounds as of 5/10/23 Gets Along With: Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training. Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. (proof of hiring or arranging for someone to attend to the puppy 3-4x a day until 4 months old, then at least once a day there after) Trust us, it will make your life so much easier in the long run! Frilly is Looking For: A family who is home most of the time to care for this baby and once old enough, to to provide long walks and daily trips to the dog park etc. She will reward you with playful puppy antics, puppy licks and lots of happy wiggling tail wagging! (this sweet puppy loves tummy tickles). Of course this is a just tiny baby and will need lots of extra attention, love, training and care! If you have the time, patience and $ that a puppy requires then you won't be disappointed in choosing this baby for your newest family member. What My Foster Says About Me: These 5 puppies are the MOST adorable and happiest little sweethearts! With patience and training and lots of love, each one will grow into a wonderful family addition. Their Mommy, Frenchy, has been the best and attentive little Mom to them. (My dream is that each one will find a wonderful home and grow old being vetted, trained, cared for and loved for their entire little life) Puppy Vetting Requirements: Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be "fully" vaccinated. It is the adopter's responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog. Due to this puppy's young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered. As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than September 30, 2023. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets. Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog! TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.
