Available for adoption but will not be able to go home until after his neuter is completed on June 8th. Our Vet clinic is extremely booked up for surgeries and this is the earliest we could get him in.
This loveable guy with the unique eye is Copper and he is around 1 year old. Our best guess as to his breed is a Chocolate Lab and Hound mix and he weighs just under 60 pounds. Copper came to us as a stray and wasn't claimed so we really don't have much history on him.
Copper is a young and energetic boy who loves to romp and play in the yard! His favorite toys are squeaky toys and tennis balls and he also loves treats! Copper knows the sit command and we are working on laydown and shake. He is a little bit of a jumper when he gets overly excited but is learning quickly with proper correction and consistency as he is a smart boy. He is not leash trained and will need an adopter who is dedicated to training him and helping him be the best dog he can be!
Copper does really well about not having accidents in his kennel here but we do not know if he is housetrained given he came in as a stray. If he is not we are confident he would pick it up quickly with proper consistency and routine.
We have not had the opportunity to test Cooper with other dogs but the lady who found him said that he did well with her Border Collies. Cooper will need to meet any dog currently in the home to make sure everyone gets along before the adoption is approved. We also have not had a chance to test Cooper with cats as our dog testing cat has been adopted (hooray!) but we can certainly try a new cat with Cooper if needed.
If you think you and Cooper may be a great match please send us an email at
[email protected] to request an adoption application!
If you would like to donate towards Coopers care please click on the Sponsor Me tab half way up this page on the right. You will be redirected to Copper's Petfinder sponsor/donation page. Any amount is greatly appreciated!
Copper's adoption fee is $75.00. His adoption fee includes his Neuter, Rabies Vaccination, Parvo Distemper and Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Vaccinations, Heart Worm Test, Deworming, and Flea Treatment.
