Her name is Sunny, she is a 1 year old 50 pound bloodhound. The previous owners never registered her, but we do have her paperwork. The previous owner purchased her as a puppy, then built a new house and kept her outside. She was in pretty bad shape. Really thin, dirty, scared, fly bites all over and flea infested. Her paperwork says she was born 11-10-2019. Sunny is now spayed and up to date on all vaccines. She tested negative for heart worms and was given a 6 month pro heart injection. On Simparica for fleas/ticks and microchipped. Since she was kept outdoors her whole life, her inside skills were terrible at first but she is improving. Sunny has come along way. She sits on command and is getting better at not putting her front paws on the counter or kitchen table. She is good with the cats we have. Leash training has been difficult! She is still nervous around other dogs. She was with another dog previously that was very aggressive. She is crate trained and enjoys the safety of her crate, potty training is not perfect, but we are seeing progress She is excellent with kids! I have a house full. Youngest is 9. I have a male neutered American bulldog mix about 80 pounds that she is best buddies with. She hates having her nails cut. Does eat very quickly and drinks a lot. Vet thinks this is a mental thing from previously being denied nutrition. Not food aggression though.
