Hi All, I'm Homer, a 68lb lap dog. I came from a place where the crate was home and I didn't get to spend a whole lot of time outside of it. Today, the crate is a little scary to me and I hate being locked up, but I think with time and patience I could get used to proper crate training, but I prefer to be free. I understand basic commands (sit, lay down, wait) and train easy. I am house trained and have free roam of the house with my two four Legged foster brothers. I am a goofy boy who loves to play (with other dogs and people), run, cuddle, and chew toys, its very important I have plenty of hard toys and bones to chew on. This is how I entertain myself when I'm not sleeping or playing with my foster brothers while my foster mom is working from home.
I get a little nervous and bark around loud noises and new people, but I'm learning those things aren't so scary when introduced correctly. I'm lucky to be in a foster home that is introducing me to things outside the four walls of my old crate! I'm already a new man.
I lived with a cat in my previous home and the thing never wanted to play with me no matter how hard I tried, but I was never aggressive towards him. So cats are okay with me. Overall I'm a playful loving boy who'd love to fill your home with laughs, cuddles, and love. If you want to make me part of your FUR-ever family please fill out an application at www.placingpawsrescue.org.

ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possible. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at
[email protected]. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
