Leashed dogs are welcome to join their humans on an exploration of Bighorn National Forest. Bighorn National Forest has 1,200 miles of trails throughout much of the 189,000 acres of protected wilderness along with three scenic byways, multiple reservoirs and miles of streams, 10 picnic areas, 30 campgrounds, and more. Dogs must be leashed at all times and are not permitted in the backcountry. Bighorn National Forest is bear country, so dogs should wear bear bells to prevent startling the bears. You must clean up after your pet all the time.
