National Elk Refuge

675 E Broadway Ave, Jackson, WY, US, WY 83001

The National Elk Refuge in Jackson, Wyoming, is dog-friendly. Both pedestrians and pets on leashes are allowed on the main refuge road on the east side of the site and from mid-December through early April, you and Fido can view a herd of local elks grazing in their winter habitat. The elks have been on this protected area since 1912 and they are joined by large flocks of birds, bighorn sheep, coyotes, pronghorns, curlews, sandhill cranes, and trumpeter swans. The National Elk Refuge is open 10am to 4pm every day of the week.
