Located near the Highway 13 West Frontage Road and Xenwood Avenue, the dog park consists of more than two acres of fenced in area with a small and large dog section. There are four mailboxes that contain poop bags, sand and wood chips cover the entrance area, water is available during warm weather, dog toys are available in baskets hanging on the fence and paths are snow-blown during the winter. This park is pleasant and well maintained with lights, porta potty, and garbage service.
The park is located within walking distance from the Hamilton District and downtown residential areas. There is no charge to use the park; however, residents are required to have their pet licensed by the City – a mandate for all Savage pet owners. The park will be open from sunrise to sunset every day and residents are expected to follow and carry with them a copy of park rules.
