Geode State Park

3333 Racine Avenue, Danville, IA, US, 52623

Geode State Park is dog-friendly. You'd think a park named after the state's very own rock would be full of them, but there aren't actually that many geodes left around the park. If you do find one, you can't take it home for your collection. They should be left where they are to preserve the area. There are several trails that lead around the 187-acre lake. You can access the numerous pet-friendly trails from one of the many picturesque picnic areas. You must remember to keep Fido on a leash for the duration of their stay and owners are reminded to clean up any mess after their pets.
