The Brenton Arboretum is a 143-acre landscape in the heart of Iowa agricultural land. We have thousands of trees (all labeled, of course), beautiful prairies and wildflower meadows, streams and ponds, and miles of grassy trails. Our mission is to bring joy through the beauty and knowledge of the natural world of trees. Well behaved dogs (who respond appropriately to voice commands) are allowed to be off leash. It is up to the owners of the dog to use their best judgment and accept full responsibility when deciding whether or not to let their dog off leash. Dogs are allowed to swim and play in streams and ponds; humans are not. Dogs of non-members are allowed for $5 per dog, per night. Open 9am to sunset.
