The 7.5-acre Ankeny Dog Park has been incredibly well-received since opening in September 2010. With thousands of dogs in the metro and only a few off-leash areas, the Ankeny Dog Park will continue to be one of Ankeny?s most popular parks. Located at the intersection of Southwest Goodwin Street and Southwest Ankeny Road, the enclosed park features separate small and large dog areas, a fenced half-acre pond, water fountains and biodegradable waste station.
