Fido can join you as you wander along the two-mile Tidal Basin Loop Trail and take in views of the water, cherry blossom trees, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, and the Washington Monument. Pets are allowed around the Tidal Basin and on the grounds of the memorials, but not inside the memorials themselves. Dog owners should keep their dogs on leashes no longer than 6 feet. There is no fee to walk the Trail, and it is open year-round from dawn to dusk.
