Brandywine Creek State Park is a dog-friendly recreation area divided by local stone that dates all the way back to the 1800s. The park is home to three nature preserves, including Tulip Tree Woods, a 190-year-old tulip poplar, and Freshwater Marsh, the first nature preserve in Delaware. Brandywine Creek State Park is open March through November from 8am to 4pm every day of the week and December through February from 8am to 4pm only on weekdays.
