Dogs are welcome on select trails at Cheyenne Mountain State Park. This is one of the newest state parks in Colorado, purchased in 2000 by the City of Colorado Springs, Colorado State Parks, Great Outdoors Colorado, Colorado Lottery, and El Paso County. The trails that you are permitted to use with your dog include Acorn Alley, Bobcat Way, Raccoon Ridge, and the marked portion of the Soaring Kestral Trail. The Visitor Center is open from October 1st through April 30th from 9am to 4pm; and from May 1st through September 30th from 9am to 5pm.
