Adopt a dog:Eliana/Terrier/Female/Baby,11/16/23: Momma Emmy was from the hoarding case of 31 dogs that we pulled Sugar and Sweetie from. She had to stay behind last transport due to her puppies being too young to travel, but they made age and size for this trip and arrived last night. Emmy is shy and will need some time to learn to trust, but we don't see any aggressive tendencies in her (or Sugar or Sweetie). Though they came from a tough situation and were severely overcrowded, most taken from the home have rallied once in foster and are some of the sweetest, gentlest dogs. There are 2 girls and one boy pup who we are calling Evangeline, Eliana and Elijah. Due to her current age, size and personality, foster to adopt requirements are: -Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY so they can get their continued care at our vet until they are officially adopted. -Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered. -Due to her current size and disposition, we are looking for homes with children over 10 years old. -Willing to have current dogs/family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match. -Having time available to care for, socialize and start training of a new pet. -Preference will be given to homes with previous dog experience. -Having a fenced yard is definitely a plus. Fostering is free and vetting is provided by the rescue. If choosing to adopt our small dog adoption fee is $400 due in a few weeks once she has been spayed. Oh do we have the puppy cuteness overload going on here!! This adorable lil boy has got all the boxes checked!!! Affectionate - check Sweet - check Huggable and Kissable - double that check Playful - check Cute as a button - oh for sure that's a check Pawsome family members - yep, that's a check The family - no check :( ...yet! Lil Calvin was rescued from a rural shelter close to the Mexico/Texas border. He had managed to misplace his pawsport and found himself being detained. Luckily we managed to get him out on good behavior and for his handsome good looks!! CalvinKlein is 4 months old and can be a tad shy upon first meet. But as with your typical puppy it only takes him a NY second (not even the whole minute) to warm up and show his true silly personality. A little bit sassy, a little bit sweet and a whole lot of cuddly. He should be about 20-25ish lbs when he gets fully grown up. What a great size for well...everything. Big enough for any activities and adventures you might want to go on but small enough to make sure there is lots of room on the couch for you. He wants to make sure he doesn't miss out on ANY of his cuddle time! He does great with people and the other foster pups here at the rescue. He would be beside himself if he was to get a family with a playful sibling (2 or 4 legged variety) that he could have a blast in the yard anytime or all the time!! At his young age, even tho he hasn't met a cat yet, if introduced properly he should do great with them too. He is a smart little fella that is already on his way to learning basic commands. He will sit and sit pretty and is doing well with his leash training also. He is like an old soul in a puppy body, playful and active but not over the top hyper. He's just a super sweet natured pup that loves to please his people! Calvin will need exercise and playtime to help keep his puppy shenanigans at a minimal but with that in he should do great in town, out in the country or anywhere in between. Calvin's shorter coat is low maintenance in the grooming department making him more of a wash-n-go type of fella. Which is perfect cuz you do know what that means don't you?! Yep, lots of extra time for the 'spoil him rotten' department. That's his favoritest time, you and him time!! Sweet and sassy, playful and snuggly, add in that cutest lil face and you've got a fabulous family member just waiting to happen! He just needs YOU to help him get that last box checked!!!

Adopt a dog:Brownie/Dachshund/Female/Baby,Brownie is a complete package deal and is a very sweet little girl who is about 8 months old. She is likely a Chihuahua and Dachshund mix. She is house trained, gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children. Brownie loves to snuggle and she's just a slight bit timid. Brownie is not currently spayed or vaccinated but she will be upon adoption. He is very outgoing but balances his energy with the admiration of snuggles. He is in a foster home with cats and dogs. He does well with both. He has little whispy hair around his ears. Mom is a Pit Bull Terrier. Father is unknonw. He could be mixed with Australian Shephard. For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. All animals are currently in MS. Mississippi is overpopulated with too many animals, not enough adopters, and many high kill shelters. For Pet's Sake Rescue saves each animal from a different background. ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations.We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible.*** For Pet's Sake Rescue transports animals to other states for better adoption potential. Adopt a dog:Jameson /Miniature Poodle/Male/Young,Meet Jameson! Jameson is a one and a half year old poodle mix. This boy is all love in an adorable body, complete with a wiggle nub tail! Jameson loves to be with his people. Cuddled up on the couch? Going for a walk? Adventure in a car? He's down for it all. Jameson does have a beautiful long coat that will require regular grooming. Ireland is seeking a forever home with folks who won't leave her home alone all day. Having a puppy is hard work, couple that with the breed mix and you'll need lots of patience. Her ideal home would have another young dog to play with, or someone who has a way to keep her well socialized with other pups on a regular basis. Ireland is likely fine around cats. It's hard to tell prey drive at this age. But anyone wishing to adopt who has cats must be able to separate/rotate should he develop a prey drive later in life. Her adoption area is MD or surrounding states since she'll be spayed by our vet in December. ~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it's like to have them live in your home.
