OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.

All our dogs are fostered in Texas but available for transport out of state. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Leo’s Friends Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our out of state adoption fee is $300 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, a heartworm test if over 6 months old, and health certificate.

Forester is a 10-week-old Terrier mix up-for-adoption. He’s a wicked cute little scruffy guy who will most likely be a medium-sized adult dog. He may need grooming as he gets older, so potential adopters should keep that in mind. He’s friendly with everyone and hasn’t met a stranger yet! I’m a Shnoodle and my name is Noodles! I’m a one year old male weighing about 10 lbs. I was well cared for and loved dearly by my dog mom…but she became unable to care for me and reached out for help. It wasn't easy for her but I promised her that I would be okay…and I would find a loving home. I am very happy and affectionate…In fact, just try to escape my company and my love! I am the ultimate lap dog for sure! Foster mom says I am simply wonderful. I’m looking for someone who likes to walk..as for some time..my owner was unable to…I’m young and peppy. Frankie is a 10-week-old Terrier mix. He’s a scruffy little guy who’s absolutely adorable! Our guess is that he’ll be a medium size and may need grooming as he grows up. He’s friendly with everyone, crate-trained, and doing well with housebreaking. He would do well in most homes that have the time to dedicate to a puppy.

Adopt a dog:Nash/Cocker Spaniel/Male/Senior,Meet Nash! We got Nash's bloodwork done and the results came back good. There is nothing there that indicates why he is bone thin, so we just don't know what happened before he ended up in the shelter. He was picked up as a stray, so who knows how long he may have been out wandering. He does eat, and he likes the dehydrated stuff that you mix with water and add some chicken (or other protein) and he loves it! We now have to get his neuter taken care of and see why one side is bigger than the other. We are hoping it is a Sertoli cell tumor, which are often benign and have a great survival

Adopt a dog:Trenton/Bull Terrier/Male/Baby,Trenton is a 2.5 month old Bull Terrier / Pit Bull Terrier mix that is estimated to be between 40-45 lbs once he is full grown. He is friendly, easy-going, sweet, and affectionate. He loves nothing more than to snuggle with his human and shower you with so many sweet puppy kisses. His favorite activities include playing with her siblings and older resident dogs in his foster home, snuggle with his humans, and play with a tennis ball. This little boy is smart and has already figured out how to use the dog door and climb up the puppy stairs to cuddle on the couch with his foster mom.

Trenton is low to medium energy. He is pretty mellow with short bursts of puppy energy that can easily be burned with some play time in the backyard. Once he gets older, he will require exercise such as walks in the neighborhood, short hikes on nature trails or a game of fetch with a tennis ball in the backyard.

Trenton is good with kids, cats, and dogs. He is a social butterfly that loves everyone he meets. He is great around other dogs and goes into a submissive stance by rolling on his back and showing his belly. He currently has both cats and dogs in his foster home, and he ignores the cats because they made it clear to him that they do not want to be friends with him. He would be a great pup for kids of all ages and would love to have kids in the home who want to play with him and give him lots of belly rubs.

Trenton is kennel trained with a playpen, and he is currently working on potty training and leash training. He is picking up on potty training quickly now that he has figured out how to use the doggy door. His ideal home environment would be a house with a fenced in backyard, but he would do well in an apartment, townhouse or condo as long as he gets daily exercise and has a human that is committed to taking him out multiple times per day to continue his potty training.

Tessa is a 4.5 month old Bernese Mountain Dog and weighs in at 17lbs. She was released from a commercial breeder when she was a lot smaller then her siblings and could not be sold.

She loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home. It would be nice if she had another friend that is puppy savvy in her home to play with. Tessa loves the young kids in her current home and would be fine with young children. She loves to play ball and run laps around the yard. A fenced yard would be a big plus for her but is not mandatory.

She walks well on a leash and is crate trained, she sleeps in her crate quietly at night. She will need someone to be proactive in helping her with potty training. She does good if she gets out frequently.

Tessa is up to date on all her vaccines and microchipped. She will be adopted out on an additional $250 spay contract.

Adopt a dog:Darling Dash!/Australian Shepherd/Male/Baby,Dash is a precious Aussie/Border Collie mix who will be coming to the DMV and available for adoption on June 10! He will be around 9-10 weeks upon arrival.

He has been in rescue for the last three weeks and is a healthy happy little guy.
