Ninja Paws Rescue welcomes Little Miss Mazy Mae Wiggle Butt, a.k.a. Amazing Mazy!
Mazy found herself in a municipal shelter suffering from a prolapsed rectum, which was successfully surgically repaired. She rehabbed at her wonderful foster mom's with other dogs, all of which she gets along with after a proper introduction.
Mazy is absolutely beautiful and her brindle coat is starting to feel so soft and the coloring is really starting to come out. She is a quiet dog, except she does snore a storm from time to time. We just love it when a dog can confidently relax to such a degree! That's a success in our book.
Mazy is a typical Pit...she wants to be with her person as much as possible. She loves to snuggle with her person and is a great "chill" partner. She enjoys a nice doggy bed where she can rearrange the cushion and blankets to suit her needs. Mazy loves a car ride so she would make a great over-the-road companion too!
She is very aware of her surroundings though and if something seems suspicious to her and she thinks you need to be alerted, she will bark a few times for your attention, then return to quiet once she knows you are in control of the situation.
Mazy is thought to be about 6 months old so she is a puppy full of love. Her only fault is she likes to gently jump on you while you are standing and look deeply in your eyes trying to convey her love and appreciation for you. We find that endearing but you may want to work on her keeping her paws on the ground. Or, you may just love the attention! Of course, she will need proper chewies to enjoy in her free time.
Mazy is crate trained and doggy door trained. She loves to eat and is food motivated to learn, so further training will be fun between she and her person. She knows basic commands, and will take treats gently if you remind her to be “nice”. We think Mazy would be amazing with kids, so long as the children know how to properly treat a dog. While she does not seem to have a high prey drive, BUT she is very aware of smaller animals moving around in her sightline so for that reason, we think she should stick to dog friends instead of cats or other small critters.
Mazy is very healthy, has been spayed, and is up to date on all shots. Her adoption fee is $200.00 and she is available for Meet & Greet only after an application has been submitted and reviewed. Please visit our website to be considered as Mazy's forever person.
