I love to go bye-bye and am a perfect gentleman in the car. I love to go for long strolls and yes, I'm a perfect gentleman on the leash. I'm kinda scared of new men and the HALO people have been working with me. I recently spent the night in a foster home with one of those scary men and after awhile, I realized he wasn't so bad. We went for car rides and walks, played in the yard, and watched basketball together. I also can be a little too reactive to other dogs at times and need to be introduced properly (that's what my HALO people tell me). They say I've been doing a really good job in playgroups and I have made a few dog friends that I am fond of. I am sooooo ready to find my person so I can stroll, go bye-bye, and lounge on the couch with them. Oh, and I'm pretty darn good-looking! Adopt a dog:Terrell/Pit Bull Terrier/Male/Senior,If you’re looking for a handsome boy, you’ve found him! Terrell is short, stocky, & laid back. Background: Terrell was found as a local stray. He stayed at a vets office for a few months before coming to us. They got him fattened back up and even took care of his vetting. Age: The vet is thinking he’s around 7 years old. Size: Terrell is around 70-80 lbs but is short and thick. Coat: Terrell has short hair but does shed. He will need bathed every few weeks. Energy Level: Terrell is pretty laid back. Definitely enjoys his comfort and loves laying in bed. After he goes outside to do his business he’s ready for a nap. Medical Info: Terrell has been vaccinated, heartworm tested, neutered, & microchipped. He does not currently take any medications for any conditions, besides his monthly heartworm prevention. Terrell’s adoption donation is $175.

Adopt a dog:Bumpkin/Boxer/Male/Adult,Bumpkin was rescued from a shelter on the Kentucky West Virginia border. He was quiet and shut down when he first came in but is coming out of his shell. He is crate trained and walks well on a leash. He does good with other dogs but would also thrive as an only dog. If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. They currently are fixed, up to date on shots, wormings, preventatives and are microchipped. I am not sure why I ended up at the shelter, but let me tell you, it was hard on these old bones. Shelters are no place for any dog, let alone an old gal like me. I have two speeds...nothing and slow. I want to nap and eat. That’s pretty much it. Can you tell taking my picture isn’t a favorite of mine? Food is though. Love food. I am good with other animals, but I am over playing and shenanigans. Cats, dogs, whatever...they are all fine. I just want to lie down and chew on my bones until dinner. I am not a fan of having my nails cut, but other than that, I am not too grumpy. If you just want to exist through life, and eat, I am your girl. Don’t leave food near me though...all’s fair if you walk away. The shelter isn’t too sure what my breed is, so lab was the guess. I was a pretty girl in my hay day, now I am aged and classy. ADOPTION FEE: $200 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) A $100 hold fee is required for approved applications and will be applied to the full adoption fee at the time of the home visit.
