Type of Home Needed:
Mr.B need be an only dog, as he does exhibit dog reaction and his pure size and strength requires a knowledgable handler who will not put him in any situation with other dogs or pets. He is very toy/prey driven which would be great for sport training, but makes him not eligible for a home with cats or any small pets. Mr.B does incredible off leash where other dogs are not present (for example walking the secluded vineyard, he will not leave your side, leash or not). He is moderate to low activity level. He needs daily exercise but tires quickly, although if you would like to go on a run or be active, he will keep up. Mr.B is a people dog, and one of the best we've had the privilege of working with!

Info/bio:
Mr. B has been with OYRR since February 2013. He was rescued from the North Central Los Angeles shelter. He is John Coffey from The Green Mile. Big, and misunderstood. He is a huge built boy, but his body and being were so small leaving the shelter. He wasn't sure what life was gonna throw at him next. Mr. B has since perked up! He enjoys walks around the vineyard and LOVES the time he has with people. He is incredible with people and strives for human affection. You can see how grateful he is for love and affection in his eyes. Mr. B is presumed by trainers, veterinary resources and rescue alike to be a retired fighting dog. He displays many of the physical wear and tear signs of a dog who has been put through such. His lower jaw is missing teeth and looks to have been broken or injured. All of his teeth have been filed down.
Don't let any of this deter you. His spirits are on the up and up... Mr.B has gone through expert training and every handler and OYRR member can testify, if you are looking for a loyal companion, you will not find a stronger bond. Mr.B LOVES people and even more, is gentle with them. This guy has something insanely special in store for whoever adopts him.
