Tucker is a little over 2 years old and sadly hasn't had much exposure to life outside of a shelter. He was a transfer in from another facility. When he first arrived at CHS he wasn't much for being handled by humans. He was very scared and very shy, it has taken him several months to settle in and now he is doing great. He is a very tolerant dog and he does well in playgroup. We don't feel that he is going to do well with small kids, as he is very rough and tumble when he plays and he has no idea that he is about 75lbs. He thinks its fun to run into you while he is playing. Tucker is going to need a patient home with lots of understanding of positive reinforcement training in order to make him feel comfortable. An only dog situation for this kid would be preferred. If you feel that you might be able to provide Tucker with what he is looking for that would be great. Please don't hesitate to contact us. CHS is very committed to our adopters getting the best possible adoption experience that they can. Due to that we ask that prior to arrival at the shelter you please call 503-397-4353 or email
[email protected] to make appropriate arrangements. Most of our dog adoptions are done by appointment only, as we have very limited staff and we want to be able to give ample time to our adopters. They deserve that as well as our dogs deserve it.For more information call 503-397-4353 or email
